Arecibo broadcast-Chilbolton Reply

On the 20 July 2015 PBS News Hour broadcast,  Gwen Ifill interviewed Andrew Siemion of UC Berkeley SETI project  regarding its scientific search for extraterrestrial intelligent life:

GWEN IFILL: What if we discover life out there that is not friendly and, therefore, there is only so much we want them to know about us? Who controls that?

ANDREW SIEMION: Well, that’s a very good question. As I said, there’s no commitment to send a response.

And I personally think that if we do detect advanced life, we should undertake a broad discussion with all segments of humanity, social, political, governments, economic, and consider whether we do want to try to communicate with the life we encounter.
I was surprised that there was no mention of the SETI broadcast of 1974 from the Arecibo Radio Telescope in Puerto Rico, but was heartened by Siemion's last comment about including all segments of humanity in the project.

On Sunday, 19 July 2015, I had conversations with two men who have been attending the on-going "Faith and Science" discussions with Birgitta and me here in Los Alamos, a cooperative venture among several local churches. One man is a science fiction writer, the other a retired nuclear physicist from the Los Alamos National Laboratory. I had discussed the Arecibo-Chilbolton thing with them in recent weeks and wondered if it might not be an appropriate topic for the Faith and Science discussion. Both agreed it would be, but had different suggestions about how to proceed. The first thought it best to wait for the final scheduled discussion. The second thought it best to make sure that the Chilbolton reply was not fraudulent.

This  morning (26 Jul 15) my above-mentioned physicist friend came up to me in church to comment on the information I had given him earlier in the week about the image above. He asked if there were any other such crop formations elsewhere. I replied that there were indeed very many such crop formations in many shapes in various countries all over the world, but that this particular one was unique in that it so clearly reflected the embedded information in the 1974 Arecibo radio broadcast. It was because of this uniqueness that I personally had focused my attention. He then asked if I had noticed that the time difference between the 1974 broadcast and the 2001 'reply' was very small in astronomical terms, to which I again replied that yes, this was a significant point. That is, that the reply must have come from some agency very close to this planet, if not on it or within our very solar system itself.

A few days ago (7 Jul 15) I received the following quote from a strange book, which I found provocative, relative to our current conversation and which I will eventually fold into the discussion.

A Thought to Ponder from The Urantia Book

"Gravity is the omnipotent strand on which are strung the gleaming stars, blazing suns, and whirling spheres which constitute the universal physical adornment of the eternal God, who is all things, fills all things, and in whom all things consist."

In May 2013, while viewing the last few minutes of a live video broadcast of the Citizens Hearing on Disclosure (CHD) from the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., I saw a 15-second screening of the beginning image above. Because I was already familiar with this image from when the Chilbolton formation was first reported in August 2001, I wrote to the presenter for more information. In response he invited me to present a scientific paper about it at the upcoming fifth annual "Conference on Future Energy" (COFE5), a conference sponsored by the Integrity Research Institute to be held at the University of Maryland.

I was asked to address the November 16, 1974 radio broadcast from the Arecibo Radio Telescope in Puerto Rico [by Carl Sagan, et al, into deep space looking for intelligent life beyond our planet] and the dramatic overnight appearance on August 20, 2001, of a crop formation in a farmer's field adjacent to the well-known Chilbolton Observatory in England. The correspondence between the Arecibo broadcast and the apparent Chilbolton reply patterns were compelling, the differences even more so.

But personal health issues prevented me from accepting the invitation at that time.

Here is an excerpt from my blog at that time about the May 2013 CHD video broadcast:

Friday afternoon sessions: Then, after a moving farewell statement by Rep. Carolyn Kirkpatrick, even more important for me was the hurried report (before being cut off by panel chairman Rep. Merrill Cook--who seemed at times to be an idiot!) by physicist Thomas Valone, Ph.D., of the Integrity Research Institute referring to Russian follow-up work and then to a particular 'crop circle' formation sometimes called the "Chilbolton Photograms" in August of 2001. This formation is something that I have for years felt was super significant. The exciting thing for me was Dr. Valone's technical interpretation of the Chilbolton Reply that I couldn't record quickly enough. At least we now have a source to check it out further!

Then, in May 2015, I was again invited to present this paper to the seventh annual COFE conference, to be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico on July 30, 2015, not far from where I live in Los Alamos. So, I began happily developing a new approach, which now addressed more than the normal scientific questions of "what", "when" and "how". It now included the philosophical questions of "who" and why".
Alas, that approach was now unacceptable to the COFE leaders and I was unwilling to narrow my focus to accommodate what seemed to me to be a physics-only bias. Instead, I decided to make a blog of it and invite input from others with relevant experience, scientific competence and broader viewpoints.

One of these people is a well-known scientist at a prominent western university, who specializes in microbiology. I will include his comments on the DNA strand differences between the two Arecibo-Chilbolton images without identifying him. This is because he does not want his personal experience with ETs as a young boy, which was frightening, to be public. However, it was this galvanizing experience which has anchored his interest in the UFO-ET-Crop Circle phenomenon ever since.

I wonder how many others there are out there who have had such experiences and are now professionally trained? Whoever you are, I hope you will contribute to the development of this blog if I pledge to keep your identity anonymous unless you give your permission to be known.
